GDPR Notice
Your rights under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and how to exercise them.
1. Scope of this notice
This notice explains how the GDPR applies to the personal data we process, and how you can exercise your rights if the GDPR applies to you, for example because you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
2. Data controller
The controller of your personal data is Kiantilever Machine LLC, headquartered in the United States. For any data protection question, contact us at sales@kiantilevermachine.com.
3. Lawful bases
We process personal data only where we have a lawful basis under Article 6 of the GDPR, namely:
- Consent — when you send an enquiry, a quote request or a job application and confirm that you have read our Privacy Policy.
- Contract — to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or to perform one.
- Legitimate interests — to operate, secure and improve our business, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with the law.
Our Privacy Policy sets out which of these applies to each use of your data.
4. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Be informed about how your data is used.
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Have your data erased in certain circumstances.
- Object to certain processing, or ask us to restrict it.
- Receive the data you gave us in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
- Complain to a supervisory authority.
5. Consent on our forms and cookies
Every form on this website asks you to confirm that you have read our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions before it can be sent, and we record when you did so. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
Separately, our cookie banner lets you choose which optional categories of cookie you accept, and optional cookies only run with your consent. We currently use no analytics or advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer; see our Cookie Policy for details.
6. Transfers, retention and automated decisions
Kiantilever Machine and our service providers may process data in the United States and in other countries. Our Privacy Policy explains the safeguards we rely on for those transfers, and how long we keep each kind of data. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
7. Exercising your rights
To exercise any right, email sales@kiantilevermachine.com. We will respond within the time limits set by the GDPR, generally one month, and may need to verify your identity first. There is normally no charge.
8. Supervisory authority
If you are in the EEA or the UK and believe our processing infringes data protection law, you may complain to your local supervisory authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.
